The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released the notification for 7,994 Revenue Lekhpal vacancies on December 16, 2025. This is one of the most anticipated state-level recruitments for 12th-pass candidates who have qualified for the UPSSSC PET 2025.

The Main examination is an offline OMR-based test. Accuracy is key due to negative marking.

1. General Hindi (рд╕рд╛рдорд╛рдиреНрдп рд╣рд┐рдВрджреА)
Focuses on grammar and linguistic proficiency.
- Samas, Sandhi, Vilom (Antonyms), Paryayvachi (Synonyms).
- Tatsam & Tadbhav, рд╡рд╛рдХреНрдпрд╛рдВрд╢реЛрдВ рдХреЗ рд▓рд┐рдП рдПрдХ рд╢рдмреНрдж (One-word substitution).
- Idioms and Phrases (рдореБрд╣рд╛рд╡рд░реЗ рдПрд╡рдВ рд▓реЛрдХреЛрдХреНрддрд┐рдпрд╛рдВ), Sentence Correction (рд╡рд╛рдХреНрдп рд╕рдВрд╢реЛрдзрди).

2. Mathematics (рдЧрдгрд┐рдд)
The syllabus is divided into three parts: Arithmetic/Stats, Algebra, and Geometry.
- Arithmetic & Statistics: Number System, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Frequency Distribution, Mean, Median, Mode, and Data Interpretation (Bar charts, Pie charts).
- Algebra: LCM & HCF (and their relations), Simultaneous Equations, Quadratic Equations, Factors, and Area Theorem.
- Geometry: Triangle & Pythagoras Theorem, Rectangle, Square, Trapezium, Circle (Perimeter & Area).
3. General Knowledge (рд╕рд╛рдорд╛рдиреНрдп рдЬреНрдЮрд╛рди)
A broad section covering national and state-specific topics.
- General Science: Daily observations and basic principles.
- Current Affairs: National and International events of importance.
- History & Geography: Indian Freedom Movement, World Geography, and Population.
- UP Special Knowledge: History, Culture, Art, Architecture, Festivals, Literature, and Tourism of Uttar Pradesh.
- Computer Literacy: Basics of Hardware/Software, Internet, E-governance, and Cyber Security.
4. Rural Development & Rural Society (рдЧреНрд░рд╛рдореНрдп рд╕рдорд╛рдЬ рдПрд╡рдВ рд╡рд┐рдХрд╛рд╕)
This is the most specialized section, focusing on administrative and social aspects of village life.
- Rural Administration: Components and functions of Revenue Administration.
- Rural Development Schemes: Both Central and State schemes (MGNREGA, NRLM, PMGSY, etc.).
- Panchayati Raj: The Three-Tier system and 1992 Reforms.
- Land Reforms: Revenue collection and record-keeping systems.

- Priority to UP Special: Since this is a state-level exam, many GK questions focus on UP’s geography and current schemes.
